DIY Initial Mug

Today I am going to show you a really easy and quick DIY (depending on how much of a perfectionist you are).
All you need is a mug, scissors, tape, paper, a thick sharpie, a thin sharpie, a pencil, and an oven.
First, you cut out a letter in whatever font you choose on paper (I free-handed mine). Then, put tape on the backside of the letter and tape it to the mug.
Secondly, take your thicker sharpie and outline the letter. After you finish outlining, take the letter and tape off the mug. Once you've taken the letter and tape off, go over the lines once or twice to make the letter thick.
Thirdly, take the thin sharpie and start designing. I did all my lines going one way and then went back over them.
Once you've finished designing your mug, put it in the cool oven and heat to 450 degrees for 30 minutes and let cool for 24 hours.
These can only be hand washed. :)

Hi, readers!
I'm sorry we've been M.I.A. the last few weeks! We were on Thanksgiving break and now we're almost to finals week. During our Christmas break it will be a lot easier to post since we will have more time on our hands!
So, here is an impromptu post about my day:

After I got back to our room after class today, I began our 78 problem math final review........
It was bad. I couldn't remember half the stuff I'm supposed to know. I guess that's why I'm studying a week in advance.

I listened to my random playlist that has music from Celine Dion to Fun.

I can't sit still when I'm studying or doing homework, so I began to reminisce (cheesy, I know).

And then I painted my nails.

And then I thought to myself "I need to reevaluate my dream jar." (Yes, I know. This is cheesy too.) I have a "dream jar" where I put all the things I want to do in my life in and set it on my desk, so I stay try to stay on task. I guess it's really there to remind me of the things that I want to do and the adventures I want to have, and that I should be doing my work, so I can do these things that I want so badly.

And then I looked down at this. All the things that I have to study for and finish. It's such a downer, but it's okay. This means one day closer to Christmas break!

Good luck to all those out there who are taking exams/finals/big tests!

Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!

Today's lucky winner is..

Our Halloween in Instagrams (and our first post ever!)

Gary, Mike, Hannah, and Rahul gathered around the table waiting for blizzards

Our blizzards

The few days leading up to Halloween this year, we watched scary movies, talked about what we were planning on doing, and drove around to find a creepy place to adventure into. We ended up spending Halloween driving around in Mike's cruiser in the 50 degree weather, listening to Coldplay, looking for a prime spot at a lake to shoot fireworks. Although we didn't find a great spot to shoot fireworks since all the ways to get into the lake were sketchy, we did stop by Dairy Queen and were delighted with cookie dough and Snickers Blizzards. We listened to Gary, Mike, and Rahul debate over a topic completely random, indulged in our blizzards, and made memories to last us until next year. We made it back to the dorm and finished the night off with Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Overall, this Halloween has been filled with laughter, scary movies, and adventure.
